Israel is an alluring destination and one of the most popular destinations in the Middle East. This holy land has always attracted the visitors from all over the world from biblical times to the present day. Though Israel has remained as a politically sensitive country right from its establishment, it has a lot to offer for the tourists, part of which we will describe in this Israel travel guide. Its appeal for the visitors is enormous and the day to day issues faced by the residents have little or no effect on those people coming to visit the holy country of Israel.

Jerusalem, the holiest city of the world

The country is a home to the Mount of Olives, the Sea of Galilee, world famous Dead Sea, old port of Jaffa, Mediterranean beaches and vibrant city of Tel Aviv. The city of Jerusalem is world famous for its sacredness and a popular destination for tourists who come to discover something new. If you ever read any Israel travel guide, then you know that the holy city is sacred to the world’s three major religions – Christianity, Islam and Judaism. With beautiful bell towers, striking minarets and the golden dome, fancy dresses, Jerusalem attracts the people from all over the world to visit its historical places for Israel tours and the holiness of the place.

Tel Aviv and Jaffa

Tel Aviv is another city in Israel for Israel travel which talks differently and is on top of the list of Israel tours. The city of Tel Aviv is the commercial capital of the country with thronging streets, sandy beaches and glistening skyscrapers. The city has everything in it whether you are looking for contemporary art galleries or you search for excellent restaurants or hedonistic inhabitants. Jaffa, a neighboring city and a historic port of Israel is quite a contrast which has sprawling markets, crumbling city walls and cobbled docks. A mix of old and new is common in Israel where ancient cities like Akko and Nazareth exist alongside the modern cities of Haifa and Eilat.

Landscapes and the Israel travel guide books

Israel has a number of beautiful things and has a lot to offer in its landscapes which are equally diverse. You can find mountains, deserts and even fertile valleys in this holy land. You will discover a lot more if you buy one of the Israel travel guide books and read it while you are taking a bus or drinking your morning coffee. I’m sure there will be plenty more information you will discover here and that you will gain some new ideas about which places to visit next.

The Dead Sea, Red Sea, Mediterranean coastlines and the Sea of Galilee offer everything from geological spectacles to holiday resorts in the beautiful beaches.

How to travel to Israel?

Israel is well connected through air flights and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion international airport is the biggest airport in Israel offering international flights. The other popular airport in Israel is the Eilat Central Airport connecting the important routes in the country.

Israel does not have any railway connections internationally and international Israel travel by train is not possible.
