Asia is home to some of the world’s best spas, particularly in the South East in  countries such as the Maldives, Thailand and Singapore all of which specialise in their own range of treatments. However, the must-visit spa destination of Asia is Bali! Take a look at why Bali is the top weekend spa break destination in Asia.

Bali is an ultimate spa destination, often referred to as the spa capital of the world, with a countless range of spas across the island offering a huge variety of treatments to suit almost all requirements, budgets and purposes. The spas start with basic massages and go as far as full treatment programmes addressing any particular concerns you may have. Massages are probably the most popular spa treatment in Bali and there is a huge selection of them to choose from, perfect if you have a particular preference or would like to relax a particular part of the body. The massages offered across the Bali spas include Balinese, Thai, Swedish and many more.

Other popular beauty treatments offered in Bali are the spa norms of body wraps using fruit, yoghurt, honey and mud and body scrubs. There are also many other spas that focus on health, wellbeing and healing. These offer the more advanced medical style treatments such as Chinese reflexology, hydrotherapy and Hindu medicinal treatments aka Ayurvedic which include traditional Indian head massage and reflexology.
