Bangkok to Koh Phangan

Today actually begun yesterday for us intrepid little bunch. we got the overnight bus from bangkok at 8pm last night, we were aiming for the sleeper train so we could have beds but we left it too late and had to settle for the bus, which wasnt as bad as we all thought it would be but there was not much in the way of sleep to be had. and geoorgie doesnt do well with no sleep so she attempted to catch some Z’s in the aisle… until that is the man behind us got up and stood on georgies head! it was more funny than anything and she wasnt hurt…just sleepy. then at 7 we got onto our boat which i had been mocking, saying it didnt look too speedy to me… i ate my words! it was indeed big and speedy, it took us 4 hours on the boat and that included a stop at koh Tao, it was a pretty uneventful boat ride, a tiny bit of chop and lots of attempts at sleeping…but the scenery was beautiful, as we hopped past small limestone islands with steep cliffs covered in lush forest and palm trees.
when we got to Koh Phangan we went on a tip off from a dutch couple we met yesterday and headed for coconut beach, which they had said was like paradise… we jumped in our pick up and headed up some exreme roads with pot holes the size of cars to coconut beach, the bungalow we got is perched on a hill leading to the beach surrounded by what i can only describe as rain forest, the beach was a little dissapointing though but we have hired out a little suzuki 4 x 4 and cased out a better beach and shall bimble on down tomorrow… also there is a fucking massive spider thats yellow and black and the size of hand…i think its the devil!!! were all gonna try and get an early night and catch up on some lost sleep…. love you love you all

Good to know you are enjoying it all, Fraz is looking for job and has a couple of promises, she is definitely coming out there !! just don’t tell her about the spider. when you say that there is a spider the size of your hand, what exactly do you mean? whatever, yuk! don’t touch it run away and don’t look back. where is it? please tell me it’s not in your bungalow. i am having serious second thoughts about coming out to see you, you told me that there were not creepy crawlies in Thialand and now within 2 weeks not only has my baby been eating the buggers you have moved in with a f***n great arachnid.
i hope that you have found a little spot of paradise to hang out for the next couple of weeks and that G’s little problem soon sorts itself. yet again your mum has managed to go a whole day without speaking to you, it does seem strange not to pick up the phone and chat. i’m sure that i will get used to it. i am looking forward to talking to you tommorow. love you all more than i love chocolate or cheese and onion crisps. mum xxxxxx
Still loving it!! what can i say? mums right, the spider does freak me out, but aaron can deal with that!! lol. just to let you know, have got a job for when i get back – ravenwood hall – full time, so that should give me some money. nearly got the money for the flights so its looking good!! getting hooked up by one of my dads friends whose an air hostess, she may be able to do a deal. she said i may have to go with virgin and fly to hong kong – then to Thailand. we’ll see!! but love you guys loads,wills says hey and sends his love too, speak soon xxxxxxxxxx
