Back to Bangkok yet again
Ko Samet – Sunset lookout
Its 1:30 here and we are just getting back on the bus to bangkok from ko samet again after another perfect stay in paradise…again.
Yesterday we all rented little mopeds except Georgie who got a quad, and went exploring along all the beaches and we found a bay with hills falling into the sea all the way around, white beaches (of course ) and a large crop of rocks stetching out from one side. we saw some americans snorkelling arount the rocks and when they came out we asked them how it was and they strongly recommended it so we got back on our “hogs” and bought some snorkells and went out over the rocks.
ive never really done any snorkelling before and it was amazing! i think it was an old coral reef but it was still teaming with fish and crabs but also some very weird sea urchin things, they were about the size of a cricketball, jet black and with long spikes about a foot long all over and a very scary blue eye thing… they just looked scary and there were hundreds. despite that we were out there for a good hour or so and it was mega! after we grabbed some grub and beers and georgie had a massage on the beach while me and toby had a dip in the sea. Georgies quad kept breaking so we took it back and changed it and went on our way again and found a sign saying “sunset point” we took a razz down to the shops got some beers and had showers then sat on our hut porch till nearly sunset when we burned some rubber back up there…
it fucking rocked… litterally, it was a fairly new stone patio extending out over a hill side with a porch above and tables and chairs, it was a 180 degree view to the horizon framed either side by lush green hills falling down into massive limestone rock crops…
we then checked our emails and Laura had emailed Toby and said she will be there tomorrow (today) so we chilled out for the rest of the evening with some tins on the sand got up early and had fresh fruit breakfasts and 1 hour massagses each and now we are heading back to bangkok… we have no plan just yet for the next week but what we do know is that tonight when Laura gets to the ko san road… we will be a bunch of drunken monkeys! love you all and miss you too… love in your eye from the kids in thai xxxxxxx
