Mens swimwear

When it comes to travel, you’ll be constantly planning, jetting off, exploring and generally experiencing all of your journeys. With the flurry of activity you’re performing, it’s easy to forget the basic essentials – such as what the hell do you pack!?

Fortunately, we’ve got you covered. Build an essential kit of simple travel pieces that will see you through casual and more formal occasions in the sunshine, no matter where on Earth you’re heading. Read on to find out just how to style your summer…

Swim Shorts

When you’re heading into hot weather, the first thing that comes to mind is a casual dip into the pool or a swim in the ocean. Men’s swimwear is, fortunately, a simple thing to style: just choose a pair of light board shorts with either block tones or nautical strips. Grab two or three pairs and alternate them to save on suitcase space.

Shirts

When night falls and it’s time to hit the bars, restaurants and clubs, you’ll want to smarten up without heating up. A cotton Oxford shirt in white is the best choice, as you’ll look fashionable whilst staying cool. Pair them with a light summer blazer.

Summer blazer

As we have just touched on, if you need to immediately step up your formal game, a summer blazer is a great choice to pack. Whether it’s for a beach bar night bash or an on-location business meeting, opt for a lighter colour made of unlined material.

Vests

Vests are tricky to get right. Do them wrong and you look like a poser, do them right and they’re a casual option that couldn’t be more suitable for the sunshine. As a general rule, Breton stripes are fashionable and work well with lighter fabrics.

Sandals

Warm weather demands open footwear, or lightweight trainers at the very least. A good pair of sandals offer freedom unlike any other style – so opt for a trendy brand like Birkenstock to keep things trendy as well as comfortable.

Hats

If you can pull off a straw hat, you’re well on your way to fashionable looks this summer. Straw hats are a good choice when paired with summer shirts and jean shorts – but they’ll only suit particularly trendy people. For the rest of us, a snapback cap will keep the sun off your eyes.

However you choose to style yourself this summer, remember that practicality and comfort are always prized.
