Whales. Penguins. Seals. Birds by the thousands. And you. If you’ve ever wanted to check out one of the most pristine and untouched areas on Earth, now is your chance. The people over at Oceanwide Expeditions are holding a contest offering everyone the chance to win an Antarctic Cruise to the Ross Sea region.

The Antarctic Cruise: Spectacular Ross Sea

The Antarctic cruise in question is a 30-night trip departing from Bluff, New Zealand. During the expedition you’ll visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites, passing islands inhabited by Elephant and Fur Seals and Sea Lions.

The Ross Sea is a challenge for would-be explorers. Ice closes off much of the water access at certain times of the year. The weather isn’t particularly welcoming. Landing sites and points of interest can be fair distances from the shore.

Luckily, this isn’t just an old cruise. This adventure includes trips inland via helicopters, landing closer to inland penguin colonies (but far enough away to leave them undisturbed). It’s a rare opportunity for you to explore a bit of the world that’s rarely played host to human beings. Check out their itinerary for a better idea and check out all the available Antarctica cruises here.

Here’s What You Have to Do

The contest itself couldn’t be simpler. Go to the main Antarctic cruise contest page. Sign up. Create a profile. And then get your friends to vote for your profile. That’s it. You can check out all the rules and details here.
